The AIOps Practice Director position is responsible for the development and sales support of AIOps solutions, leadership and growth of a delivery team, and staffing of Windward engagements.  The AIOps Practice Director leads a team that develops and implements high-impact AIOps strategies and solutions that help increase the performance of consulting clients.   These solutions span assessments and planning with clients to chart their AIOps strategy and technology selection; implementing and integrating partner technology solutions; staffing for specialized skills; and organizational adoption of new AIOps capabilities.  

 

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 or more years of industry experience within consulting, professional services, or software implementation track record.
  • Minimum of 5 year of experience selling and/or delivering consulting services for relevant AIOps technologies or services. Experience with mix of monitoring and/or event management products from IBM, CA/Broadcom, HP/Microfocus, Sciencelogic, Moogsoft, BigPanda, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or ServiceNow.
  • Possesses the qualities and characteristics that support development of team members to grow a thriving services practice.
  • Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship and consulting skills.
  • Proven professional with long, established track record in project management and service delivery, structuring and completing milestone-based assignments on time and ensuring work on client projects is performed consistently at high quality, and reflects client goals and expectations.
  • Ability to independently provide strategic vision, yet equally experienced with requirements definition, practical solution design, business cases development and solution implementation for clients.
  • Ownership of the strategic organization of resources within the practice in order to meet targets and plan.
  • Ownership of the performance evaluation process within the practice and aligning resources with growth opportunities to improve the practice and promote retention.
  • Responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, responsibility, growth, transparency, customer success, and fun in order to make the practice a top destination to work.
  • Ownership of executing and continuously improving the resource planning, staffing, performance management, project health check, and customer support/maintenance processes.
  • Provide sales with appropriate support resources to achieve practice sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership team to look for efficiencies and best practices to leverage across practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across a consulting organization with other industry and solution Directors/VPs, as well as the Service Delivery personnel.
  • Proven track record balancing focus across sales support, client-side delivery, and people and team management.
  • Strong professional and personal integrity with very high ethical standards.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Advanced Business or Computer Technology Degree a plus


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 40% Solution and Sales Support: Lead senior architects and consultants in the definition and development of services and solutions for high impact on client outcomes.  Create solution presentations, rough order of magnitude (ROM), statements of work (SOW) templates and case studies to support sales.  Construct and ensure SOWs meet client objectives and provide clear and achievable objectives and milestones.
  • 40% Project Staffing and Support: Drive coordination across delivery managers and teams to ensure alignment of resources, and to manage, escalate and mitigate project and account risks as they are encountered. Provide quality assurance function for requirements analysis, solution architecture and design, development and integration tasks, testing processes and documentation, along with overarching delivery execution.
  • 20% - Staff Development:  Develop job descriptions and work closely with recruiting to bring in talented resources for projects and staffing.  Participate in personnel recruitment and provide direct involvement in personnel reviews and retention programs to fuel sustainable business growth and high-quality service execution.  Develop and drive programs for development of staff skills, to include technology certification, that directly support partnership and customer success.

Travel:

  • Travel is based upon specific program and client requirements and will thus fluctuate based on current workload and sales activity. Must be open to working remotely at an out-of-town client site for an extended period of time on special occasions.
