Wilsonart currently has an opening for an Director, Manufacturing for our Temple, TX manufacturing facility.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Manufacturing Operations to oversee all aspects of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in driving operational excellence, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and meet company objectives.
- Operational Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize inventory management, procurement, and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
- Safety and Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols and compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives where possible.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment of manufacturing operations with overall company goals.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing operations, regularly reporting on performance, and making adjustments as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proven ability to lead large, complex, dynamic manufacturing organizations of more than 250+ people.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results. Equally effective in communicating from the Executive Team to the shop floor.
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and build a Winning Culture
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external partners.
- Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree Required in Engineering, Operations Management, or other closely related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. Master’s Degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
- Statistical and analytical problem-solving.
- Demonstrated history of growing and developing direct reports.
