Interaction Designer

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll envision how people experience our interactive products and help bring that vision to life with our development team. You’ll be prototyping and designing experiences for a wide range of mediums including: web, mobile, AR, VR, in-store and new emerging media. Wild Blue Interaction Designers are specialized and focused on both UX and UI design, thinking through how a product feels and functions along with all aspects of visual design and layout.


Essential functions include:

  • Assisting Creative Directors, Interactive Director and Account Managers with forming project strategy, scope and proposals.
  • Applying user experience research and best practices to projects.
  • Serving as an active liaison between design and development teams.
  • Consulting and communicating professionally and effectively with teammates and clients.
  • Crafting sitemaps and user flow diagrams.
  • Wireframing user interfaces and storyboarding Interactions.
  • Creating functional, rapid prototypes along with polished, finished products.
  • Assisting developers with testing and optimizing.
  • Researching and staying abreast of industry trends for retail, interactive design and emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Degree in one of the following fields – User Interface Design, Visual Communication (Graphic) Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or the equivalent experience and training in an area directly relevant to this position.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with UX or UI focused design is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to assess data.
  • Speed and efficiency in creating wireframes and prototypes with proficiency in InVision or similar prototyping tools.
  • Ability to work across a wide range of interactive project types (2D and 3D).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with natural ability to articulate and defend design decisions.
  • Proactive communicator and creative problem solver.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter with the talent to quickly learn new techniques, applications and design mediums.
  • Must be proficient with Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Must have basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Content Management and Version Control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and ability to work within the Unity game development platform.
  • Understanding of and strong interest in AR and VR User Interface design.
  • Proficiency with After Effects and C4D is a plus.
  • Front end development and coding experience is a plus.
