Description

As Print Operator, you are responsible for print output; from receiving the postscript file, to delivering the printed product to Finishing. This includes running and maintaining the RIP software, running and maintaining the printers (including color calibration), managing substrate and ink inventories, communicating with internal teams and all make-ready steps to prepare for next printed project.

Responsibilities
Essential functions include, but not limited to the following:
• Operate and maintain digital print presses.
• Printing high quality print output, by producing artwork accurately; in both color representation and in precision of dimensions.
• Translate our customer’s vision into a realistic product for review, display, functionality and/or consumer research.
• Understand our clients and their demand standard for quality printed art.
• Effectively collaborate with teammates and external consultants.
• Differentiate our printed work from that of our competition in terms of quality and capabilities.
• Coordinate seamlessly with all departments to optimize workflow and maintain the final goal of the client.
• Keeping work prep area clean and organized.
• Clean and maintain equipment/tools.
• Remove, dispose and store materials properly.
• Support other areas within the Imaging department.
• Mount images/graphics to various substrates.
• Operate a 60" wide laminator for applying polyester laminates to printed images using pressure sensitive and/or thermal laminates as needed.

Must have skills and abilities:
• Degree or equivalent experience and proficiency in Graphics.
• Minimum of 5 year's experience in printing related field.
• Must have prior experience running and maintaining digital printing devices.
• Common knowledge of various material/media types.
• Familiarity using RIP Software.
• Experience in color management and media profiling.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
