Whalerock is looking for a seasoned Sales Executive who has experience in multi-platform media, strategy and sales. The ideal candidate will develop relationships with key clients and agencies and will be responsible for driving proactive revenue and new business. The executive will identify, vet and bring in new acquisitions, partnerships and ventures to grow our portfolio of brands, and drive incremental revenue on existing brands. 

The ideal candidate… 


  • Develop a framework to identify, analyze, evaluate, and execute paid engagements, strategic partnerships and new business initiatives
  • Manage the sales process including prospect identification, execution, proposal development, proposal delivery and contract negotiation
  • Identify and cultivate long-term business relationships with current and potential new clients
  • Lead feasibility studies and new business assessments, including identification of market entry strategies through external partnerships
  • Work with internal departments to develop creative and innovative pitches across multiple platforms
  • Prepare client presentations and work with designers to build pre-sale mock-ups
  • Turn projects and presentations around quickly, but with consistent expertise and flawless execution


  • Connected with a deep “rolodex” of contacts, and established relationships across a variety of targeted brand categories
  • Creative as it pertains to delivering clients clever, innovative, high-value, custom programs
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and negotiating skills
  • Able to identify, analyze, and communicate competitive sales strategies
  • A strong negotiator with the ability to negotiate effectively and recommend deals/solutions that make sense for all parties involved
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment & remain composed under pressure


  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Advertising, Digital Media and/or Marketing with proven leadership and influencing skills
  • A demonstrated record of success in originating business, closing deals and hitting revenue targets
  • Deep relationships at the senior executive level at top brands and organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and highly proficient at time management
  • Strong organizational, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as necessary
