Overview of job 
In this role you will drive the delivery of clients’ performance media needs and operational excellence across the organization. This encompasses programmatic, biddable search and social and advertising operations. 
As Leader of the Biddable Media of Wavemaker, you ensure effective collaboration among multiple teams responsible of scheduling campaigns, placing ads on the biddable platform and buying assets. In order to entirely meet clients’ expectations and constantly improve operations, you ensure quality checks between Biddable Teams and GroupM Agencies are regularly conducted.

You will be a key leader at Wavemaker, reporting to Partner Client Leadership.

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:
 
  • Launched the Wavemaker and begun regular analysis & reporting on the Operational Performance metrics for the Biddable delivery team
  • Grasped the strategic Wavemaker priorities, engaged agency and other business stakeholders in fully understanding their needs and put in place the foundations for a collaborative relationship.
  • Hired and put-in-place key hires to be the drivers of the biddable delivery teams.
  • Engaged and communicated with the team on priorities and imperatives to focus on early wins
  • Conducted a 90-day review to review progress achievements and identify short term gaps
  • Cascaded KPIs and SMART goals that are aligned to stakeholders needs
In six months: 
  • Working across GroupM organization including agencies, built a level of trust through engagement and active listening, ensuring proactive strategies to identify, pre-empt where possible and address needs, queries and concerns.
  • Put in place a leadership team for the Biddable at Wavemaker that supports you and allows you to focus on priorities
  • Engaged with the Top X clients to ensure that biddable campaign delivery goals are being met and receive feedback for future improvement
  • Worked closely with the Data and Technology team on the strategic roadmap for Platforms and technologies impacting GroupM Services
  • Have built a thorough understanding of the Biddable teams operations and processes and provided feedback to the Regional Process Team on areas of improvement
In 12 months: 
  • Operated a scaled team, with excellent performance credentials that supports the agencies with new business as well as existing clients
  • Worked with internal and external stakeholders to onboard a new campaign stewardship system with minimal disruption or downtime.
  • Developed a succession plan for key roles in the team and worked with Talent Acquisition built a pipeline of candidates
  • Developed an ‘automation roadmap’ targeting key opportunities for improvement
  • To build strong relationships across internal stakeholders and key Clients.
  
What will you be doing? 
  • Be the hands-on leader; leading engagement with the GroupM agencies management teams to understand their clients’ needs and at the same time acting as the operational manager of the Biddable team at GroupM Services and the teams
  • Establish a culture of excellence and gold-standard delivery, leveraging existing Talent and recruitment of specialists, ensuring training, certification and career development skills are developed to support Group and individual’s growth plans
  • Working with the Indonesia Head of GroupM Services, create a ‘one-team’ mentality that ensures consistent level of excellence across GroupM Services, with clearly communicated goals and targets that are achieved whilst supporting GroupM values
  • Monitoring of all campaign and reporting service delivery with your leadership team, assessing process and structural improvements, leveraging technology to automation
  • Collaboration with agency stakeholders to understand needs and anticipate areas for improvement
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports and analysis to explain key performance and leading indicators. Troubleshoot and pro-actively manage business challenges
 
What we are looking for from you
 
A Biddable Media leader who has: 
  • Proven capability in managing a large diverse team. Demonstrated ability to deliver ‘service excellence’ to customers
  • Comfortable of operating in an ambiguous environment, where matrix stakeholders need to be engaged and managed. Capable of influencing through persuasion and not necessarily control
  • Has experienced strategic change within a large organisation, operational excellence with strong process orientation
  • Highly experienced in the operations of a biddable agency (or supply side), and use of prevailing technologies and data partnerships etc.
  • Has successfully motivated and lead cross functional teams
  • Having an inner passion for media and enjoys the craft of our business
  
What would make you the type of candidate we would be looking for? 
  • Highly knowledgeable in performance media (buy or sell side) with operational process experience and around 12+ years of progressive experience
  • Comfortable with handling (up to) C-level clients and agency management
  • Assertive yet diplomatic – prepared to fight for the right cause and lead from the front
  • Inspiring communicator with clear written and verbal communication
