Overview of job 
Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and is a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for an Associate Business Director to join our Digital practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship and driving the integrated media agenda for your respective set of clients.

In this role, your goals will be: 
In 3 months:
  • Have a thorough understanding of the clients’ businesses (KPIs, key challenges and how they differ from other brands).
  • understand their key pain points and come up with the solution to achieve business KPI.
  • Understand the key digital tools and processes critical to the everyday running of the account.
  • Managing the day to day output with high quality and high responsiveness to client requests
In 6 months:
  • Built a strong, collaborative relationship with clients, acting as the contact across set of clients.
  • Establish relationship with key media owners & publishers.
  • Improve outputs and presentation of reviews/planning sessions
  • Suggest improvements in ways of working or processes of any clients
  • Begin to consult with clients on their business and how Wavemaker can influence business outcomes
  • Lead and deliver all client responses to brief with the team in a strategic way
  • Developing and executing clients multi-channel performance marketing strategy:
  • Plan, define and execute campaigns to achieve clients KPI
  • Manage daily operations of Paid Search, paid display, paid social media, Linkedin, Twitter and other self-serve platforms.
  • Provide hands-on optimization of ad campaigns across all marketing channels towards the clients performance KPI.
  • Build robust re-marketing strategy with the clients 1st party data.
  • Analyse campaign performance data and constantly optimize to generate growth and ensure client satisfaction and renewal
  • Consolidate and build internal and external reports for clients analysing KPI achievements and assess the success of campaigns

  • Work closely with the specialist teams to ensure you are up to date with their latest offerings
  • Work closely with media partners on responses to briefs or pro-actives.
  • Ongoing learning of the client’s category/competitive activity as well as the changing media landscape
  • Attending meetings – internal, client and partners
  • Attending trainings/seminars to keep up to date with trends, insights and client’s business categories.
  • Always questioning – using the insights at our disposal, either through the strategy team or business science, consider how this might affect the overall communications for clients.
  • Take part in new business pitches and provide insightful and comprehensive communication solutions for the agency and its clients
What you’ll bring:
  • Require proactivity and a determination to create change.
  • You are expected to have experience in digital strategy, performance marketing, digital consultancy and execution wherever possible in an agency environment.
  • Working knowledge of programmatic landscape & technologies (DMP, DSP, SSP etc.),– Preferred
  • Curiosity – always asking meaningful questions, challenging the brief if necessary
  • High attention to detail to ensure the team’s output is of the highest quality
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to navigate difficult client situations/manage expectations in a diplomatic way
Minimum qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of media agency/performance marketing
  • Strong understanding of biddable platform and worked on outcome driven clients/business
  • Communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Passion for learning and openness to new challenges
