An orchestrator who integrates the different thinking and weaving functions together to offer a holistic business solution.
 
You should have a strong track record in delivering tangible business results for clients, strong strategic skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and team members. 
The position is to manage client business and will be responsible for leading clients in future forward strategic thinking across business, media, data and technology. This will involve integrated capability in traditional & digital media, search and content marketing, measurement and attribution, creation and application of strategic framework, cross category business understanding. This role also involves communication with global teams, and bringing the best of Wavemaker, GroupM and WPP to clients as well as internal teams.

This role reports to the Chief Strategy Officer, Wavemaker.

Measures of success – 
In three months:
 
  •       Build relationships with the key decision makers at client side and within the company.
  •       Be an expert on the client’s business proactively engaging with senior clients and actively shaping the quality of the Wavemaker delivery. 
  •       Developed a deep understanding and begun to use WPP Open and the products and tools therein. 
  •       Build confidence with team members within immediate team and within peers.  
  •       Setting up and implementing measurement frameworks for key clients. 
In six months:  
  •       Proactively delivering additional value to the client, leading the team to successfully implement strategic initiatives that will improve the Wavemaker delivery and client’s business outcomes. 
  •       Established as the lead by both clients and the internal team alike; strong client service ways of working established with strong team communication. 
In 12 months:  
  •       Considered a ‘business’ leader for the client and for Wavemaker, providing solutions that deliver a tangible business benefit for both client and agency. 
  •       Activating a business plan that delivers success to the client and secures Wavemaker's client relationship; leading client, product, people, commercial and profile initiatives. 
  •       Create new and breakthrough work across clients.
   
Responsibilities of the role:  
  •       Leads the strategy team across Greater Wavemaker South and Open Door.  
  •       Provide strategy communications and planning leadership on the client’s business across categories. 
  •       Partner with the account heads and functional heads, push needle on Marketing Excellence and Digital Excellence. 
  •       Demonstrates strong understanding of ecosystem, brand, category and consumer to derive insights. 
  •       Infuse best in class practices and frameworks, both from domestic as well as international learnings. 
  •       Communicate complex ideas/insights in a way that all understand and apply. 
  •       Integrates relevant multimedia opportunities into campaign plans. 
  •       Familiarity with content as marketing tool is desirable trait. 
  •       Leverage extended Wavemaker/GroupM/WPP ecosystem to build hard working solutions for client. 
  
What you will need:  
  •      16-18 years of experience with at least 12 years in the media industry. 
  •       Demonstrate exposure and management of senior clients/ stakeholders as well as leading a team.  
  •       Integrated media and marketing knowledge, including traditional media, digital media, data, research and insights. 
  •       Creative problem solving and ability to join multiple dots across domains. 
  •       An attitude of curiosity and continuous learning both for self as well as infuse the same culture within the team.  
  •       Comfort with multiple kinds and sources of data, both structured and unstructured.  
  •       Fantastic presentation and storytelling skills. 
  •       Proven experience managing a team, negotiating different situations, skillsets, and personalities.
