The VML Discoverability Group drives the visibility and performance of digital content to connect brands to their audiences with purpose and results. Connections Managers in the Performance Content team are passionate and well-versed in planning and writing digital content. Collaborating with organic search teammates, they strike an effective balance between writing for both humans and search engines both through manual writing and use of generative AI platforms.
Responsibilities
• Writes, edits and optimizes content, such as Amazon product detail pages, ecommerce landing pages, articles, blog posts and web pages
• Documents client history and processes
• Develops and delivers effective and persuasive presentations
• Expands our global clients’ knowledge, consulting about the strategy, implementation and use of content, as well as the importance of search optimization
• Has a clear understanding and champions the mission and vision of the team and VML overall
• Understand grammar rules and how to construct clear sentences
• Follow content requirements in terms of style and project specifications
• Optimize articles for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and accessibility
• Edit content to ensure voice, grammar and style is on point
• Revise content whenever customers or clients request changes
Additional Responsibilities
• Develop thought leadership pieces like POVs and industry news roundups
• Develop case studies based on past work for new business initiatives and to validate client relationships
• Conducts research and effectively forms strategic content recommendations based on organic search, audience and business insights
Requirements
• At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience; agency setting is preferred
• Bachelor's - Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Business, English, Linguistics/Language, Communications, Creative Writing, Digital/Web/Interactive or another relevant field preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Keynote/PowerPoint
• Familiarity with organizational software like Smartsheet, Trello and SharePoint is a plus
• Experience in professional digital copywriting or content optimization is preferred
• Please be prepared to share a few relevant writing samples
• Professional, proactive and effective communication skills
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Attention to detail and eye for accuracy
• Fast learner who is not afraid to ask questions
• Flexibility and enjoys a fast-paced environment with lots of change
• Ability to collaborate with other disciplines and teams
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple clients and projects
• Ability to accept feedback with a willingness to learn and grow
• Knowledge of the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook is a plus
• Knowledge of AI (Artificial Intelligence) platforms such as ChatGPT is a plus
• Approaches their role with a positive attitude, embracing collaboration, education and professional development
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $90,000 . Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
