Sr. Web Developer
As a Sr. Web Developer, you’ll help implement technology strategy for a team that works with a variety of applications and distribution channels. These channels allow us to extend the reach of our ticket marketplace beyond the borders of our website and app, leveraging existing customer networks in a variety of verticals - including loyalty programs, financial institutions, travel providers, hotel operators, e-commerce marketplaces, and distribution partners across North America.
As a senior member of the team, you will help set the direction of the design and development of our evolving, high traffic marketplace. You will be a subject matter expert in the department that will bring new and innovative solutions to the table, encourage team members, and champion technology improvements that will span across all our core applications.
Our Engineering department is made up of cross functional Agile development teams that deploy to AWS production environments on demand, multiple times a day. You’ll tackle some of the most difficult challenges scaling an ecommerce marketplace by developing creative and intuitive features that maximize value and efficiency across the organization.
This role will be part of a team responsible for product ownership of Web and APIs, but also plays a large role working with business stakeholders to define features that deliver value and an exceptional experience for our customers. You’ll work with a team of engineers to refactor and update and develop new features, setting a site wide standard UI/UX and APIs.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Career experience developing Web based, Distributed and Multi-Tier architecture using Python or other major platforms (Ruby, Java, Scala, Clojure, etc)
- Experience with Django/ Flask, REST, APIs, and Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with unit and integration testing
- Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in SQL and relational database modeling
- Creativity, fearlessness and an unwavering commitment to putting the customer first
