Basic Job Function 
Victaulic is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to join a fast pace, cross functional team in the development of machine tools.  The Engineer’s responsibilities include developing new product concepts and prototypes, designing and testing mechanical and electronic systems and improving existing mechanical systems.  A successful candidate can draw on a wide range of engineering principles and are driven to explore unchartered territory.
 
Skills and Qualifications 
  • BS / MS in Mechatronics Engineering or similar with 2+ years on work experience
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls and rotating machinery
  • Strong mechanical and hands on aptitude
  • Proficient with creating 2D and 3D drawings (Preferably Solid Works)
  • Perform mechanical design analysis and calculations
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Understanding and working knowledge of resource planning tools
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing processes is a plus
Engineer Responsibilities: 
  • Designing, developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices
  • Creating automated systems and the software to control them
  • Conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at meetings
  • Developing design documents for electromechanical parts and final products
  • Lead comprehensive design reviews with senior staff and SMEs
  • Attending workshops, training sessions and conferences to network with others and stay on top of field advancements.
