Overview:
At Varonis, a leader in data security and analytics, we are seeking a Senior Sales Engineering Trainer to join our enablement team. This role involves strategic thinking and development of an end-to-end process impacting the onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development of our sales engineering staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales engineering within the cybersecurity domain, coupled with proven experience in content creation, facilitation and talent development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Program Development:
o Design and facilitate comprehensive technical enablement programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the Sales Engineering role.
o Programs will be focused on onboarding, continuing education, gap analysis, and product knowledge.
o Design and implement comprehensive training programs for sales engineers, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
· Manage Enablement Frameworks:
o Drive the development and maintenance of real-world use cases and implement them into technical systems, testing labs, and sales demos to support the Sales Engineers and Partner Solution Architects.
o Create an assessment framework to test the field to ensure proper effectiveness of programs and integration into the technical sales cycle.
· Performance Metrics:
o Establish and monitor performance metrics for the Sales Engineering team, driving continuous improvement and effectiveness in sales engineering practices.
· Strategic Planning:
o Manage the full development process, including ideation, content creation, and assessment, to ensure all technical enablement programs are aligned with the goals and objectives of the Sales Engineering organization.
o Leverage productivity data to develop and implement new initiatives to increase the productivity of the Sales Engineering team.
· Cross-functional collaboration:
o Work closely with senior leadership across sales, marketing, product management, and R&D to ensure cohesive strategy and execution of enablement initiatives.
o Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop technical content that includes all product and feature enhancements, and industry developments to drive a successful technical sales cycle.
Qualifications:
· Technical Enablement Experience: Proven experience in developing and facilitating content for sales engineering teams, with a focus on enablement and talent development.
· Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in areas such as Cloud Security, DLP, SIEM, Security operations, data security, information security, data governance, and threat detection.
· Industry Experience: Extensive experience (4+ years) in sales engineering, technical enablement, or related roles within the cybersecurity industry.
· Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.
Technical Skills:
· In-depth understanding of networking and security technologies.
· Experience with scripting languages and technical tools relevant to cyber security.
