Job Title: Senior Director, Cyber Security
Summary
The Senior Director of Cyber Security will lead a growing organization of 3 distinct units: Managed Data Detection and Response, Incident Response, and Security Architecture. This leadership role will oversee our global cyber security services organizations and our pre-sales security specialists. They will drive client satisfaction, product adoption, revenue growth, and excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the cyber security industry building and managing large and diverse global teams, driving engagement in areas such as MDR/XDR; Security advisory; incident response; breach response; c-suite, and board-level education/advisory and related cyber security services. A successful candidate must possess a hard-charging, player-coach mentality with a strategic mindset to balance business demands with growing cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for the Cyber Security Division aligned with overall business objectives.
- Drive the development, implementation, and innovation of Varonis Cyber Security offerings.
- Partner with Sales + Marketing to optimize the growth and execution of the mission
- Build and manage a team of technical and operational cyber security experts motivated to keep data safe
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of excellence across the portfolio of services
- Present to C-suite, and board members on our products and services and the ever-changing, threat, regulatory, compliance, and risk landscape(s)
- Oversee the operational aspects of the cyber security division ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to industry best practices and standards
- Align operations, focus, and resources to meet and exceed financial, operational, and performance metrics
- Represent Varonis as a thought leader in cyber security, speaking at conferences, contributing to industry publications, and staying abreast of the latest trends in cyber.
- Manage the division's budget, forecasting performance and growth, and ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading professional services organizations with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role in the cybersecurity space
- Strong business acumen with a proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage performance
- Ability to travel globally as required
- Highly driven outcome + mission-oriented operator
- Proven ability to drive complex initiatives directly with customer executives
- Proven ability to speak to executive and deliver presentations online and in-person
- Proven ability to hire, train, manage, coach, and lead
- Deep understanding and proven experience in Cyber Security Operations (Monitoring, Detection, Incident Response, Forensics).
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
