What You Will Do:

Working under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Project Coordinator, Purchasing will support the day-to-day activities of the project managers of Construction Services and provide back-up for the Purchasing Manager with Capital Acquisitions for all of Valley Health System. The primary responsibilities of this role includes assisting project manager in establishing equipment lists for projects. The Project Coordinator will also process RTP's for purchase upon budget approval.
Responsibilities Include:
Manages Projects with Project Managers by establishing project equipment lists with department for both existing and new equipment that is needed and submits for approval. Manages the process of getting quotes and cut sheets for equipment to be purchased. Processes RTP's to be entered into Project, Kaufman Hall and Lawson. Sends PO's to vendors for order processing and scheduling. Enters all documents pertaining to project information into the project management software, as needed. Responsible for being back-up to Purchasing Manager for Capital Acquisition in Kaufman Hall/Axiom. Attends required Project Meetings.

Education

Associates preferred

Experience
Minimum 5 years of project account and/or purchasing experience required

Certification & Licensures
Valid drivers license required

Qualifications
Knowledge of construction and project management practices and techniques in a healthcare setting.
Ability to prepare reports, cost analysis, gather and interpret data, and perform complex calculations.
Ability to interact with VHS customers and staff.
Ability to use Microsoft Word for word processing and Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to use Lawson and Projecto Software systems to track project activity and issue PO's to vendors.
