What You Will Do:

Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing Professional Practice, the Academic Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and operationalizing system-wide student services activities, included but not limited to, ensuring compliance with initial required documentation, maintenance and tracking of affiliation agreements, coordination with respective entities (physician practices, urgent cares, hospitals, departments, etc.) and orientation and onboarding procedures. In addition, the Academic Services Coordinator assists with organizing and facilitating clinical rotations and capstone negotiations. The Academic Services Coordinator will work in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, leadership, and human resources for coordination of interviews, touchpoints, and activities with graduating students.
Essential Responsibilities /Duties:
Academic Partnerships
• Uses professional knowledge and perspective to build rapport, overcome obstacles, and guide academic partners through a formal onboarding process.
• Designs and implements strategies to build relationships with academic partners, including high schools, community colleges, universities and other academic organizations.
• Works closely with academic liaisons to overcome barriers and challenges during clinical rotations or negotiations.
• Performs appropriate administrative and operational support throughout the entire process of on and off boarding students and faculty.
• Assists managers and directors in maintaining accurate position control for co-ops and externs. Tracks the hiring, transferring and termination of externs/co-ops to assure Infor and Kronos are updated in a timely fashion. Works collaboratively with nurse leaders and human resources in this activity.
• Partners with nursing leadership to promote hiring of extern and capstone students.
• Tracks and monitors required documentation compliance requirements for all students and faculty.
• Coordinates the onboarding of temporary staff as well as shadowing experiences requested by community partners.
Resource Administration
• Functions as the technical administrator for academic partners. Duties include but are not limited to general technical assistance, user access, trouble shooting, generating and analyzing reports, and resource for all academic users throughout the system.
• Coordinates the administrative details which include but are not limited to: planning preparing and compiling necessary information and materials for routine activities and special projects.
• Communicates with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition necessary information regarding change of status (hiring, termination, promotion, etc.).
• Maintains documents and resources related to onboarding and requirements for academic partners.
• Participates in planning of orientation, training, continuing education programs or other opportunities of learning for the division as appropriate.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Associate degree or equivalent in healthcare or related field of study required.

Experience
Minimum (3) years of relevant experience in office, staffing, scheduling, or healthcare required


Qualifications
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills to set the priorities and efficiently complete work assigned.
Proficient computer skills required and experience with a staffing and scheduling application preferred.
Ability to work independently and to make decisions based on departmental policies and established procedures.
Must be able to maintain strict protocols for all confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to work with a diverse team with competing priorities.
