Advertising Operations / Trafficker

The Marketing Innovation Team at Universal Music Group is looking for Ad Operations/Trafficker for our small but rapidly growing in-house media team. This is a permanent, full-time position. Artist success is our ultimate metric, and what drives our mindset, skillset, and company culture. This role will provide vital support our digital advertising efforts across social, direct and programmatic platforms. The role includes campaign set up, day to day management and tracking of campaign performance, as well as guiding and improving the strategy of the Digital Media teams.

Job Functions:

  • Accountable for day-to- day operational processes including campaign set-up, receipt/development of creative or tags, trafficking, troubleshooting, QA, reporting and campaign optimization
  • Work with media planners and buyers team on a production timeline to ensure timely deliverables, approvals and launch
  • Improve data quality by collaborating with the Media, Data and Analytics teams to ensure campaigns are structured in a way to produce optimal data outputs
  • A/B test creative/copy, serve dynamic creative and optimize toward best performing and create best practices
  • Proof and quality check creative prior to launch
  • Floodlight creation and audience builds in Double-click
  • Check-in on performance and flag any issues
  • Point of contact and lead for all ad tech vendors and partners (DSPs, DMPs, etc.)
  • Analyze campaign performance, identify trends and suggest opportunities for improvement
  • Juggle multiple projects and prioritize time while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization
  • Flex / change / adapt to real-time data and information
  • Expand and cement ad ops structures, documentations and practices

Job Requirements:


  • Tenacious, creative problem solver, enthusiastic self-starter focused on delivering results
  • Comfortable with data / analytics and interested in learning more
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle heavy workload, mediating many demands and requests with strong problem-solving drive


  • Experience in ad operations, digital media preferred. Entertainment industry experience a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with DFP, Google Analytics, DoubleClick for Publishers, Ad Exchange, video ad solutions, and other ad core technology. 1+ years of media trafficking in an agency a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with DFP, video ad solutions, and other ad core tech


  • Bachelor's Degree required
