Main purpose of role




To take responsibility for:


  • Preparation of the monthly Management accounts
  • Preparation of the monthly Forecast
  • Cost control within all departments


Main Duties


  • To prepare and report the monthly management accounts to Head Office in accordance with group policies and within the set deadlines
  • To upkeep and maintain the general ledger
  • To prepare the monthly internal booklet and Head Office reporting
  • To produce the monthly forecast and the annual budget
  • To carry out ad hoc analysis and reports for Marketing and Finance functions
  • To authorise invoices and sundries requisitions
  • To monitor costs in relation to agreed budgets, and communicate any variances
  • To prepare artist deal appraisals for new and existing artists
  • Participate in projects across the business, including business processes, policies and procedures, financial analysis and reports


Person Specification


  • ACCA or CIMA Part Qualified, Finalist or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous experience working within a finance function
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong IT skills – advanced Excel essential
  • Experience of managing month end
  • Ability to implement business and operational systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and experience working in a fast-moving environment
  • Enthusiastic, driven, with an interest in working in music industry
  • Ideally have previous experience within a media organization
  • Team player, good at building professional relationships and adapting a personal approach to deal with different personalities and varying levels of knowledge and skills across the organisation. Able to act as the face of the finance team
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, across all levels of the business
  • Be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative
