The Sr. Director, IT Infrastructure is responsible for enterprise infrastructure technology roadmap, solution architecture, operations and governance across UMG globally.  In this role, you will oversee the Infrastructure team responsible for network infrastructure including WAN/LAM, remote access, security, as well as compute and storage infrastructure including, server hardware/software, virtualization, cloud and data center.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive the future strategy of UMG’s technical infrastructure. Looking at solutions from an end user point of view, you will work with other infrastructure stakeholders to come up with an innovative roadmap to transform the way that the company works.

Job Functions:

  • Oversee the IT infrastructure of the enterprise and ensure its proper operation for the company
  • Consult with business unit management to understand business needs and strategies to translate into technology plans and recommendations;
  • Present recommended implementation plans to senior management including associated risks, costs and benefits for approval. You will also review and assess other projects to ensure that they are consistent with the target state infrastructure and are following appropriate standards.
  • Leadership of the IT Security aspects of the enterprise to ensure a secure systems environment
  • Produce roadmaps, with a focus on:
    • Innovation
    • End-user productivity
    • Cost Efficiency
    • Emerging Technologies
    • Technology Lifecycle (end of life technologies)
  • Provide Project Governance:
    • Ensure effective planning is in place for user adoption (change management, communication and training)
    • Ensure effective testing plans are in place
    • Ensure benefits tracking is in place
    • Ensure adequate planning for handover to operations
  • Ensure standards are defined, documented and communicated
  • Lead PoC work
  • Produce executive-level business case and demand proposals
  • Develops, prepares, recommends IT budget aspects for infrastructure related purchases

Job Requirements:


  • Excellent knowledge in most aspects of infrastructure, security, telephony and cloud services
  • Ability to work with business partners to determine need and develop appropriate technical solutions/responses to solve business problems.
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL Process Frameworks


  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience
  • 5+ years as a manager of IT infrastructure in a global, enterprise environment
  • Media/Entertainment experience desirable
  • Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer related discipline desirable
  • CCIE, JNCIE-ENT, MCSE or similar certification desirable
  • ITIL Certification
