Label Assistant & Promotions Intern

Marketing & Digital Media London, United Kingdom Req. UMG-884

Job title: Label Assistant & Promotions Intern

Responsible to: Publicity Manager

Department: Spinefarm

Location of work: Kensington Village

Main purpose of role

SINCE LAUNCHING in 1990, Spinefarm Records has established a platform for developing rock and metal artists (including Ghost, Rammstein, Airbourne, Electric Wizard, Volbeat, Killing Joke, etc) on an international scale; for taking performers with a signature musical stance, helping them to grow their vision, then spreading that vision around the globe…

Since 2002, Spinefarm has been fully owned and administered by Universal, allowing artists – both new and established - access to an international infrastructure able to provide simultaneous releases in all major markets, matching long-term campaigns to specific needs.

With dedicated and expanding offices in the US, UK and Finland, Spinefarm is very much the rock division of the Universal family, seeking to represent the best of both worlds: the independent spirit, passion and attention to detail of the specialist set-up, married to the stability, ambition and distribution clout of the major.

At a time of almost constant change within the business, the world of weightier music continues to hold sway with fans the world over, and Spinefarm – now also the home of Candlelight Records, with its extensive catalogue and reputation for turning the spotlight on key artists from the underground –

aims to make a difference at the sharp end of the genre, spreading the word and flying the flag.

Most recently, Spinefarm has chosen to both reflect and drive the increasing popularity of rootsier guitar music by launching the Snakefarm Records imprint – a home for country rock and blues-based artists, some fresh to the game, some more experienced, but all coming armed with great songs and a sack-full of attitude.
