The Digital Technology Manager is responsible for steering and routing all assets and web development projects across Capitol Music Group, which includes artists websites, Capitol Label websites, and internal dashboards & tools. This role reports directly to the Head of Digital Strategy & Business Development, and is responsible for the following:

Job Functions:

  • Work with external digital agencies to scope out and oversee development of CMG artist and properties sites on Wordpress; inclusive of domain registration and DNS configuration
  • Source and route web builds internally and externally for feedback and final approvals
  • Configure initial Wordpress site setup, users, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager; including deploying site pixels
  • QA sites to ensure they meet requirements as well as current web and mobile standards
  • Update content and creative elements on existing websites through the CMS and site code
  • Code web and mobile marketing tools, widgets, games and applications using public platforms, frameworks (HTML5, WordPress, etc.) and UMG’s proprietary platforms.
  • Assist the marketing teams with coming up with innovative ways to market our artists online.
  • Work on ways to integrate D2C components
  • Continually evaluate competitors and industry trends

Job Requirements:


  • Strong coding skills (HTML5, CSS3, JSON, JS, MySQL, PHP)
  • Strong knowledge of the WordPress platform
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and creatively
  • Enthusiastic, task oriented individual who can work well independently and with a team. Has a love of music and is able to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working on a Mac with an understanding of the need for Windows compatibility testing
  • Ability to interact with artists, artist managers, and marketing managers
  • Working knowledge of design, a sense and experience for contemporary styles and trends a plus general understanding of Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager a plus


  • Experience project managing external agencies
  • Familiarity with data and privacy compliance a plus


  • BS/BA Degree
