Main purpose of role


Duties will include but not be limited to:-


Caroline International is looking for a Digital Data Analyst to inform campaign implementation, reporting and data usage across the international commercial & marketing teams. The candidate will play a lead role in enhancing the digital media strategy of each release and supporting the implementation of each campaign.

 The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and analytical, and have in-depth insight into the ad technology marketplace.

Main responsibilities of the role


Duties will include but not be limited to:-


  • Drafting campaign briefings, roll-out plans, and digital store plans; researching and analysing digital sales & streaming reports, playlisting & marketing opportunities; working with the International Head of Digital pitching priority tracks & albums to global DSPs and communicating digital sales reports to wider team.
  • Developing new and creative systems from data sets we have to help support new release and catalogue campaigns across the business.  An International outlook creating daily/weekly and monthly reports that can be used by all our offices around the world to drive revenue and marketing opportunities in a streaming business marketplace.
  • Conceive and analyse data reports, and use data analytics KPIs to inform strategy and set objectives.
  • Work with International Head of Digital on playlist optimization utilising internal tools with keen understanding and ability to translate this to the team internally in all international offices.
  • Using available data to provide labels with in-depth campaign analysis, interpretation of trends and actionable recommendations for campaign success.
  • Finding opportunities to exploit data management platform functionalities, and leverage these across all UMG’s paid, earned and owned media channels.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within Caroline across data, analytics, media and technology, as well as external agencies / vendors to improve digital operations and performance.
  • Assisting in educating Caroline’s 3rd party label partners on the opportunities available within digital data and ad technology, to ensure that Caroline International is at the forefront of the digital landscape.
  • Liaising with Caroline teams globally, supporting best practice data usage across all territories.
  • Provide general market & commercial reports at request from senior management and own initiative.
  • Regular communication with commercial teams to provide required commercial data to the Head of Labels in each Caroline International territory.

Person specification




  • Must have a full understand of the latest innovations and consumer trends in digital media
  • Special attention and awareness of the streaming market and its constant evolution
  • Clear understanding of consumer behaviours in and out of the digital space and devise tactics which address their needs and positively engage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills – data visualization using powerpoint, excel and ability to report granular data
  • Extensive marketing communications background with products and services in a B2C environment
  • Proven experience gained in a music or media-related industry
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present/ interact with high-level management
  • Promote basic digital media principles in all function
