Main purpose of role


The Product Manager will assist the Marketing Director to initiate, plan and coordinate the creative marketing of a roster of rock and metal artists from inception to release in full.


Key Responsibilities

  • Product manage marketing activities for the Spinefarm label and a roster of artists, to include: all release planning and budgeting/tracking of marketing spending and sales in UK market, for own projects
  • Liaising with US staff to coordinate UK activity with the global team; in conjunction with Marketing Director
  • Liaising with UK production staff to ensure timely organisation of release planning- for all Spinefarm releases
  • Liaising with all A&R staff to have positive and supportive marketing focus on artists
  • Representing Spinefarm within larger UK industry at events, conferences & festivals, where applicable
  • Liaising effectively with managers, artists, touring partners and others to run effective marketing campaigns
  • Responsible for projecting, budgeting and tracking marketing spending on given projects as well as doing same with sales revenue.  Previous experience in this area preferred

Person Specification


  • Experience of liaising effectively with labels, managers and artists<span
  • Strong interest and knowledge of rock (and metal) music
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to motivate colleagues
  • Very good understanding of the UK marketplace
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate at different levels (intern to senior management)
  • Ability to cope with multiple projects and business areas at the same time
  • Works well under pressure
  • Savvy with all forms of social media marketing
  • Previous related experience and relationships with key people in UK rock industry


  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience on projecting, budgeting and tracking marketing spending on given projects and sales revenues
