Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between store management, store operations, and HR in ensuring proper HR and administrative processes are followed 
  • Support the recruitment process when hiring new store associates 
  • Provide daily support to HR team and store operations as needed 
  • Facilitate the progressive discipline policy and process 
  • Onboard new employees by conducting new hire orientation, process paperwork, ensure employees are enrolled in our store systems, and follow up with SSC (Store Support Center) and HR to ensure employee onboarding is completed 
  • Keep employees forms and documentation up to date, according to legislative and company standards. Refresh employee communication boards on a regular basis 
  • Participate in weekly store administration meeting with SSC HR and ensure outstanding items are addressed in a timely manner 
  • Report on store HR activities 
  • Coach employees on proper time management activities. 
  • Provide information, as required, during team talks to ensure HR/Admin information is being shared to store staff
  • Communicate regularly with store management and store staff ensuring store operations and HR related issues are escalated accordingly 
  • Provide administrative support with evaluation and promotion process to managers 
  • Translate documents as required for various departments 
  • Provide legal expertise in regards to Quebec Labour Standards to ensure compliance 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Post secondary education in business of Human Resources strongly preferred
  • 5-7 years in previous human resource experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products, as well as G-Suite products 
  • Ability to operate with high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Exception communication skills, verbal and written, in both English and French, REQUIRED 
  • Keen eye of detail couple with strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must be willing and able to travel to stores regularly within your region 
  • Knowledge of Quebec’s Labour Standards Act, REQUIRED
