ACADEMIC PEDIATRIC NEPHROLOGIST
The Division of Pediatric Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the UMass Memorial Health Care (UMMHC) System is recruiting a full time Pediatric Nephrologist. We seek a physician clinician/educator or scientist. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient consultations, ambulatory clinic sessions and on-call coverage. The candidate would join a division with one full time pediatric nephrologist and a pediatric nephrology nurse practitioner. The pediatric nephrology division at UMass is a collaborative team that provides outstanding patient and family centered care to children with kidney disease and hypertension in central Massachusetts. The division offers pediatric dialysis and kidney transplant in collaboration with the adult dialysis and transplant services at UMMHC.
UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center (CMC) is the only tertiary health care facility for infants, children, and adolescents in Central New England and serves a diverse demographic patient population. We house more than 30 pediatric specialty services, 30 bed inpatient pediatric unit, 10 bed PICU, 49 bed NICU, dedicated pediatric emergency department and a Level 1 trauma center.
Candidates should be Board Eligible, preferably Board Certified, in Pediatric Nephrology and possess outstanding clinical skills. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. The candidate must have a strong interest in clinical care and teaching and a track record of academic productivity. Candidates with funded research are also encouraged to apply.
