We are Trek
Trek grew out of one man’s belief that he could build a different kind of company. In a barn in southern Wisconsin, Dick Burke instilled the simple principles that continue to guide us today: build things that last—memories, relationships, bicycles, a brand—and leave a legacy of positive change.
Cycling is a huge part of our employee culture, but you don't need to wear lycra to work here. This is a place where impassioned people with diverse experiences come together to make something great.
We are artists, adventurers, designers, pioneers, rocket scientists, storytellers, dreamers, and inventors—all united by a shared belief in the power of the bicycle. Join us to carry forward our mission to build a better world through bikes.

Life at Trek
Trek is a place where you’re valued for being you. If you’re really into bikes, that’s great. If you’re not (yet), that’s great too. Because there’s a lot more to Trek than bikes. Every person has a unique history and life experience to bring to the table. We respect that. It’s what makes us who we are.
We create products we love
We want everyone to love riding bikes. We foster environments of creativity and innovation where the industry’s greatest thinkers can grow ideas into world-changing products that make us proud—products we ourselves love to use. We build for good, among friends, with integrity.
We take care of our customers
We want our relationships to last as long as our bikes, so you can count on us to take care of you and do what’s right. We stand behind our bikes, and the people who ride them.
At Trek, we believe in community. We put a premium on developing relationships, and constantly strive to improve our working environment. Below, you'll find some of the benefits that make Trek a Great Place to Work!
Work/life balance Life is more than where you work. We encourage employees to take time for adventure and relaxation outside of the office, and we offer paid vacation, holidays, and time off for family to benefit-eligible employees.
The Barn You could call it a cafeteria, but The Barn is more like a farm-to-table café. Each day, Trek’s nutritionist creates healthy, delicious meal options for breakfast and lunch. The Barn also features a full espresso bar and serves free Segafredo coffee.
Company-matched 401k Trek helps you build your financial security. After six months of employment, Trek matches 100% up to 3.5% of pay (provided that a contribution of at least 6% is made) in a traditional 401(k) or Roth 401(k) account.
ESOP program Trek is a family company, owned by the founding family and Trek employees. Company profits are shared with employees through our outstanding Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
Educational assistance We support personal and career advancement for all employees, so we make it easier to pursue continuing education. Trek reimburses 75% of the cost of approved GED, associate degree, college, or business related courses, up to a maximum of $10,000 per calendar year.
Comprehensive health coverage Here, you have the opportunity to choose options that best suit your lifestyle and the needs of your family, and we offer incentives for employees with healthy lifestyles.
On-site clinic Trek's on-site Integrative Health Clinic is staffed with a dietician, athletic trainer, and PA. We offer preventative and occupational services for free to all plan members and their spouses.
Fitness center Healthy people power healthy companies. Trek employees have 24/7 access to an outstanding on-site fitness center with a variety of cardio equipment, a full circuit of strength training machines, free weights, daily fitness and yoga classes, and trainers.
Wellness education Employees are invited to attend a multitude of on-site wellness classes, free of charge. Classes in the wellness curriculum have included Nutrition (for individuals, families, and triathletes), Financial Planning, and Green Training.
Commuter benefits When you ride, you get rewarded. Employees who commute by bike receive credit to use toward meals or employee bike purchases.
Employee purchase program We're committed to making it easier for Trek employees to ride more. Trek employees get fantastic product discounts, beginning on the date of hire.
Local riding Trek employees enjoy private access to a World Cup cyclocross course and 21 miles of some of the Midwest’s finest trails for four seasons of mountain biking, running, hiking, and cross country skiing.
