Microtransit Operator Serving Avondale/ Goodyear Communities (NON CDL)

On a daily basis, the Microtransit Operator performs visual vehicle inspections and reports any mechanical problems or defects of assigned vehicle prior to departure. The Microtransit Operator is responsible for providing safe and superior customer service on an assigned manifest.
Job Specifications:
- Transports passengers to and from designated virtual stops, and fixed route transfer points as assigned throughout each service zone.
- Collects cash fares as required and understands the overall fare structure as it relates to the direct service and connecting transit services.
- Provides information to passengers regarding the Microtransit service and connecting transit services.
- Operates wheelchair lift when necessary and secures passengers in accordance with company requirements.
- Operates 2-way radio and Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) to communicate with Dispatch to report accidents, emergencies, schedule delays, equipment failure and/or unusual circumstances.
- Documents pre and post trip inspections and incidents.
Requirements:
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Have held a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for at least 3 years.
- All applicants are subject to a drug test, and physical.
Knowledge of:
- Microtransit, fixed route, or paratransit services.
- Service area.
- Defensive driving and safe vehicle operation.
Ability To:
- Work independently to perform a variety of functions while working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to meet established deadlines.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills and exceptional customer service.
- Has the desire to care for the organization's well-being and for the co-workers he/she interacts with.

Physical Requirements:
- Occasional standing, walking, and sitting.
- Long periods of sitting.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
- Most work is accomplished indoors.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Safety Sensitive Positions will also be subject to a physical screening
