 Night Shift Fleet Automotive Technician
 
Transdev in Orlando, FL. is seeking an experienced A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This position is for our Night shift hours of 11pm to 7:30am.  This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive engines across various vehicles and equipment. As an A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.   
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs 
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.  
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
 
Requirements:  
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanic. 
  • CDL Driver's License required. 
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.   
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set  
  • Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.    
 
Physical Requirements:
 
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
