Utility Worker

DUTIES:
- Responsible and accountable for daily processing of cash revenue fare boxes for vehicles at the facility.
- Washing the outside of vehicles both via the automated bus washer system and by hand.
- Daily cleaning and full detailing of vehicles inside and out including bio-hazards.
- Fueling all vehicles daily.
- Responsible for driving, moving or positioning a variety of equipment in varied visibility and weather conditions including daylight, at night, rain, fog, heat etc.
- Responsible for basic shop, janitorial and housekeeping duties (inside the buildings and outside in the bus yard and parking lots).
- Other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the facility.
- May need to assist with oil, coolant and other chemical spills in the yard as well as out on the roads.
- Reports any maintenance issues to Supervisor.
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Must be eligible for and able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement.
- Must have a strong commitment to safety.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision.
- Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts (swing and graveyard).
- Ability to work on a team.
- Must submit to drug testing, physical examination, and criminal background check.

- Less than 10% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
- Greater than 90% of work is accomplished open garage facility.
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand-wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- May be asked to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, you will have access to safety protective gear as well as safety training.
