The Payroll Manager ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with tax, benefit, and deduction regulations, and maintains employee records. Responsible for recruiting, training, and developing staff while providing leadership and guidance on payroll-related matters. The role includes preparing reports, managing year-end processes, and addressing employee inquiries. This position fosters a positive work environment while ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $85,000 – 95,000

Benefits include:

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews employee time records for accurate reporting and schedule compliance
  • Processes adjustments, bonuses, and other payments as needed
  • Prepares necessary reports for management and compliance purposes
  • Ensures that all benefits, tax and other required deductions are properly implemented and processed
  • Manages the employee and payroll files
  • Manages the year end statement process, including revisions
  • Responds to employee and manager inquiries as required
  • Recruits, selects, develops, manages, motivates, coaches, and mentors assigned employees; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED - Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Reviews employee time records for accurate reporting and schedule compliance
  • Processes adjustments, bonuses, and other payments as needed
  • Prepares necessary reports for management and compliance purposes
  • Ensures that all benefits, tax and other required deductions are properly implemented and processed
  • Manages the employee and payroll files
  • Manages the year end statement process, including revisions
  • Responds to employee and manager inquiries as required
  • Recruits, selects, develops, manages, motivates, coaches, and mentors assigned employees; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • 100% of the job is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities
  • Sit, type and look at a computer screen for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
