Transdev is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Specialist.
A Maintenance Inventory Specialist Supervisor manages the purchasing, storage, tracking, and issuance of maintenance parts, tools, and equipment. They ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counts in CMMS software, supervise staff, and coordinate with maintenance teams to support repairs. This role optimizes inventory levels and maintains a safe, organized warehouse. Oversee that task, reporting, and duties of Inventory Specialist are completed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inventory Control: Maintain, organize, and track spare parts inventory using software, conducting regular cycle counts and audits to ensure 100% accuracy.
2. Supervision: Oversee inventory staff, including training, scheduling, performance coaching, and safety compliance.
3. Purchasing & Logistics: Order parts, manage vendor relationships for repairs/returns, and ensure timely availability of materials for maintenance work orders.
4. Operational Support: Issue parts to technicians, update Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and organize the parts room.
5. Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and discrepancies to assist with budgeting and forecasting.
6. Receive, inspect, and stock parts; issue parts to maintenance work orders.
7. Drives company vehicle to pick up incoming stock or to pick up and deliver parts to units in other buildings or locations.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts room and storage areas.
9. Adhere to safety guidelines, including OSHA standards and proper handling of materials
10. Assist technicians by kitting parts for projects, researching technical manuals, and identifying required items.
11. Provide Safety, Maintenance Operations, and Hexagon training to team.
12. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory area, complying with all company safety regulations.
13. Organizes and maintains files, a variety of lists, control records, logs, forms, data sheets, requisitions, purchase orders and other related documents.
14. Perform other duties as required and assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· 2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
· 2+ years previous warehouse or inventory experience.
· Understanding of industrial maintenance parts, tools, and equipment.
· Experience with CMMS (e.g., RTA, Hexagon) and MS Office (Excel)
· Proficiency in inventory management software, spreadsheets, and database applications
· Previous customer service experience.
· Proven recordkeeping experience.
· Possession of a valid drivers’ license.
· Must be able to work flexible hours and in warehouse setting.
· Must possess excellent good math ability.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
· Attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills to work in a stockroom or warehouse position.

· 90% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
· Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy inventory items.
· Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift heavy materials (often 60+ lbs.)
· Capacity to operate in a warehouse environment, which may include loud noises and varied temperatures
· 5% of work is accomplished outside.
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
· Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand-wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
· Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
· Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibrations and noise.
