$16.40 / hour for CDL Drivers
$15.38 / hour for non-CDL Drivers
Transdev Services, Inc. is hiring Paratransit Drivers to start immediately at our Maplewood, NJ facility in Essex County. The ideal candidate will provide passengers with safe, friendly transportation to and from their destinations in vehicles designed for wheelchair lifts, seats, and their special access. We welcome candidates with experience in customer service or home healthcare who can provide high-quality customer care and satisfaction. What you will be doing:
- Provide door-to-door transportation for passengers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure passengers are properly secured and aid with all entries and exits.
- Greet passengers, accept fare payment, and maintain a safe environment.
- Notify dispatch of all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns.
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Other duties as required.
We want you to drive with us if you:
- Are 21 years old or older with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Have a valid CDL B license with passenger endorsement OR be willing to obtain one.
- Have a record of safe and responsible driving over the past 5 years
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Please note all applicants are subject to a physical and DOT drug testing. DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of schedule 1 drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
Physical requirements include the ability to:
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects, or equipment above shoulder level without assistance.
- Move up and down stairs easily.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
