THE THIRD FLOOR, Inc. is the world’s pre-eminent, Emmy Award visualization company with offices in Los Angeles and London as well as on location with productions around the world. For the past 12 years, the studio has helped clients visualize and maximize content by producing computer-animated blueprints, known as “previsualizations”. Recent film and television projects THE THIRD FLOOR, Inc. has worked on include The Martian, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Marvel’s Ant-Man, San Andreas, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Mad Max: Fury Road, Maleficent, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Edge of Tomorrow, Guardians of the Galaxy and Game of Thrones Seasons 4, 5 and 6.  We continue to push the boundaries of entertainment with content development for exciting cutting-edge projects.

We are looking for a Bidding Supervisor to join the Business Development team.  This is a great position for someone with a strong interest in Film Production, Producing and the Business Development side of entertainment. Supporting the Business Development team, this is an opportunity for someone with prior Executive Level Support experience and VFX or Animation Coordination experience that wants to have an integral role in the big picture of our studio as we grow. This is not a creative development position. 

Background in any of the following is most helpful:

Visual Effects or Animation

Experience breaking out scripts into budgets

Live-action set experience

Prior experience with contracts and negotiations 

Ideal candidate has:

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an entertainment industry. 

  • 3+ years’ experience delivering projects with tight turnarounds
  • 3+ years’ experience commercial bidding or commercial production supervising experience
  • Bid research, scheduling, and working closely with Executive Producers and Directors
  • Advanced client management and problem resolution experience required
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Organized and highly detail orientated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of visual effects and animation a plus
  • Solid work ethic and positive attitude. Must be willing to take on new tasks and roles and catch on quickly
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess and resolve unexpected problems  

Responsibilities would include: 

  • Interaction and professional communication with clients and internal partners
  • Communicating with multiple studio locations
  • Solicit bids to global vendors and facilitates the review of such bids internally
  • Serves as primary contact to global vendors
  • Create and revise bids on behalf of studio as needed
  • Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets
  • Staying current on capacity and talent capabilities in order to effectively create bids
