Havas Street is currently seeking a New York Regional Manager to join our fast-growing experiential marketing agency. The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of all sampling activity and special events for agency adult beverage client within a designated region. The Regional Manager develops and leads all Area Managers and reports to the National Director.  





  • Generates innovative solutions and creative ideas for use in future programming
  • Provides strategic insights for organizational structure and staffing
  • Works with National Director to manage key processes of client programming


Events | Special Campaigns

  • Executes and manages all aspects of the region’s special events and incremental programs, to include: budgets, planning, sourcing, reporting
  • Works with agency partners to ensure seamless event execution


Account Management

  • Builds and maintains relationships with client sales force, key distributor contacts and client partner agencies  
  • Trains and supports client teams on the utilization of the custom online schedule and reporting system
  • Ensures information flow between field and sales teams and shares key insights with client marketing teams
  • Serves as the day-to-day client contact (Regional Market Managers or below) regarding anything pertaining to field execution and logistics
  • Leads and resolves all region crisis and ensures issues are effectively rectified
  • Manages daily and weekly execution performance via internal reporting system as defined during training
  • Audits event reports and images on a daily basis to maintain quality control  

Budget Management

  • Manages all aspects of his/her regional budget
  • Ensures field staff adheres to agency budget guidelines
  • Audits field staff expenses on a consistent basis


Team Management | Mentoring

  • Acts as a role model, leader and mentor; exhibits a high degree of professionalism
  • Connects with each employee on a personal level, offering help and guidance in overcoming challenges, personal growth, etc.
  • Manages and distributes workload for field staff as necessary and ensures that team is delivering on all client deliverables
  • Liaises with National Director to align on staff performance and works to conduct disciplinary actions with National Director and Human Resources as needed
  • Evaluates team members’ individual skills and areas for growth and improvement
  • Works in unison with National Director to conduct regional staff performance evaluations
  • Educates teams on an ongoing basis regarding policy/procedural changes



  • Works closely with the Recruiting Department on market specific staffing needs and managing priorities for the region
  • Hires, trains and manages all Area Managers with consistent coaching/mentoring while driving results
  • Hires, trains and supports the management of all Field Specialists within the region
  • Employs strategies to promote employee retention

  • Contributes positively to the agency culture, atmosphere and values and exudes a positive outlook on his/her team
  • Establishes professional and respectful relationships with staff



Education: Bachelor’s Degree (in communications, liberal arts, business or marketing preferred)


Experience: Five years in the promotions or event marketing industry working in a management role. Extensive experience managing a remote territory and team. Extensive experience developing and maintaining client relationships.


Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to understand client brand category and landscape in order to deliver creative ideas that resonate with target audiences. Excellent presentation skills and comfortable speaking in front of groups. Staff- and client-respected leadership qualities demonstrating proven ability to lead by example. Possesses motivational capabilities in a highly pressurized environment. Is appropriate, approachable and fair, and creates valued relationships with staff. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a comfort level handling “hot seat” situations. Can meet tight deadlines and has an exceptional eye for details.

Strong people management and leadership skills to include the ability to mentor staff and provide direction and objectives, performance counseling and skill building. Knowledge of when to rely on personal judgment and when to seek advice. Good delegation skills. Strong independence. Solid judgement, drive and influence. Entrepreneurial spirit, passion and intellectual curiosity. Must be collaborative and results driven. Must be willing to travel to assigned market areas within region on a consistent basis. Typical work week varies from week to week and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
