Position at Havas

Studio6 is a full-service Creative Content Studio embedded within Havas. As such, we produce content for Havas’ clients and the agency, such as public-facing commercial content work and internal communications, as well as pitch work. The creative capabilities include Creative Development, Live Action Production, Motion Design, Graphics Design and Animation, Post Production Editorial, Audio and Video finishing.

We’re looking to fill the position of Producer to focus on Live Action Production.  As a Producer, you will be an integral part of the Live Action team directly supporting the Executive Producer and all productions in the studio.  This may be as the lead Producer, or under Freelance Producer/Line Producer, or Executive Producer depending on the project and it’s needs.  

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Oversight and running the prep, shoot and wrap of projects.
  • Manage the Studio 6 administrative housekeeping, including, but not limited to, expense reconciliation, onboarding of freelance staff, maintenance of studio, equipment, props & wardrobe collection, general paperwork maintenance, AP follow up, etc.
  • Producer is expected to partner with Havas’ Agency Producers and Account Team leads as well as Studio 6 Post Producers for required client communications including project briefs, bidding jobs, awarding jobs, client approvals, etc.  Agency team will be able to communicate information to the client(s) when direct contact has not been established.
  • Attend and receive client briefings, and ask pertinent questions to be able to create shoot budget and schedule.
  • Ability to hire freelance crew and set up rentals and experience in doing both with existing relationships.
  • We’re seeking an individual with outstanding communication and organizational skills along with entrepreneurial mindset.  An ability to work under pressure and deadlines is essential.  Collaborative and positive people with passions for their professional and private endeavors is a must.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the discipline of live action production, video editing (and the technology involved) is essential, 3-5 years minimum.  
  • Understanding and desire to increase knowledge of Production Process including standard paperwork (timecards, releases, expenses, insurance, etc.) and how to work directly with the Advertising Agency.  
  • Experience writing, revising, and actualizing budgets for live action productions.
  • Technical understanding of a variety of cameras, lighting and grip equipment.
  • Proficiency in software: MS Office, Google, Showbiz budgeting.
  • Technical software a bonus: Photoshop, Premiere, Lightbox, etc.   
  • Passion for collaboration and positive attitude. Desire to be a creative thinker and work in adverse conditions.  
  • Influence from outside interests and hobbies encouraged.
