LOGICAL                      Aiming to be some of the smartest guys and girls in the room compared to the client’s other partners, they are able to make the complex seem simple because they break it down using intelligence, natural intuition and by synthesizing information from Insights & Data Strategy.


MEDIA DESIGNERS     Collaborative, warm, extremely clear in how they package information and share it with internal and external audiences. They understand media and distribution of content so how great brands communicate   clearly. They sketch out a path forward for the brand, designing a story everyone can follow.



  • The Communications Strategy group:
    • owns the brief and ensures the brief is clear, often working in partnership with the client to write or refine the brief
    • partners with client leadership to ensure that the business goals are clear and they are understood by the whole agency team responding to the brief
    • owns the consumer and uses inputs from the client, client’s research and the Insight & Data Strategy group to create a clear picture of who the client needs to reach to succeed in their business goals
    • Identifies the consumer’s needs and their pathway or journey in an objective and data informed way. Creates the story and provides masterful storytelling.
    • Uses qualitative and quantitative communications channel research to develop insights into the consumer connection with the brand and applies insights to identify clear communications goals to be achieved and which channels should be used to achieve these goals
    • moderates or guides the content development process to bring content specialists who can help conceive creative ways media might work to achieve the goals
    • continues to partner with Connections Managers so that investment decisions are in line with the strategy laid out clearly by this group in a logical story



  • Takes a leading role in devising the Communications Strategy for one or more accounts within a Havas Media office.
  • This role is critical to ensuring that plans reaching clients are focused on BUSINESS metrics, then COMMUNCIATIONS metrics, then MEDIA metrics.
  • You own:
    • clear definition of the business situation,
    • communications goals,
    • channel allocation
    • and budget by channel.
  • Partners with the Client Leadership team to lead strategy versus tactical media planning.
  • While the Client Leaders manages the process and operations, the VP Communications Strategy identifies the real business issue, opportunity and way forward by understanding consumer barriers and opportunities.
  • Partners with Client Leadership team to ensure that our Meaningful Connections Process is deployed to help make the pathway clear.
  • This role delivers in the ‘Ignite, Explore and Design’ areas of the MCP process and the group is responsible keeping the Connection plan ON strategy.
  • Champions and drives an ‘organic marketing’ approach which includes pushing al teams to consider Owned, Shared and Earned as well as Paid media (OSEP)
  • Works in significant partnership with Insights and Data Strategy team to bring all kinds of research, insight and data to bear in creation of a compelling strategy for clients to achieve their goals.
  • Participates in new business activity as required and supports junior staff working on new business initiatives.
  • Acts as a champion, advocate and trainer to ensure that world-class creative ideas are thriving within the Connections plan. This may mean instilling brainstorming skills, innovation tactics or working hands on with Connections Managers, Investment specialists or content experts specifically alongside media partners.

Job Requirements                                                               

  • Around 10-12  years of planning or related media/communications planning experience
  • Ability to turn research into insights and craft multi-channel communication strategies and plans
  • Experience and comfort in facilitating ideation sessions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative nature and desire to work across diverse disciplines
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Independent, flexible and excels in fast paced environment
