The Media Operations Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of Havas Media accounts and a Media Operations team. This will require daily interaction with our internal teams such as Media Planning and Analytics, and our external clients and partners to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of all advertising campaigns.

About the Role:
The Media Operations Director's responsibilities include:
  • Manage Media Operations practice for all Havas Chicago accounts.
  • Manage a local Media Operations team. Train and coach them on ad tech tools, industry standards, create efficiency, and providing best client services.
  • Work closely with Media Planning and Analytics teams on all accounts to identify areas for tagging improvements and share Media Ops expertise with clients.
  • Thought leadership on processes and share best practices across multiple departments.
  • Collaborate with Media Planning and Specialty groups to improve workflow and to educate them on latest trafficking and tagging standards.
  • Learn and understand new ad tech tools that can improve campaign performance for clients.
  • Share and exchange knowledge and processes with Media Ops leads in other offices.
  • Collaborate with Havas Global teams on managing global accounts and incorporating global process into the US accounts.
  • Manage partner relationships and organize training for the department.
  • Traffick campaigns in ad servers (DCM, Sizmek).
  • Oversee media tracking and analytics set up and implementation.
  • Troubleshoot issues with ads or tags.
  • Generate, QA, and troubleshoot implementation of conversion tags. Implement conversion and tracking tags in Tag Management Solutions.
  • Resolve tracking and reporting discrepancies with Analytics and/or partners/vendors.
About You:
  • A bachelor's degree from 4-year university, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Media Operations
  • 4+ year of experience managing a team
  • Extensive trafficking experience with Doubleclick and/or Sizmek
  • Understanding and experience with latest creative types (e.g. rich media, DCO, mobile and video) and standard industry tracking and measurement tools (e.g. viewability, verification, brand study)
  • Experience working with Tag Management Solutions
  • Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, open environment
  • Highly motivated and full of initiative
  • Methodical, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of HTML and/or JavaScript
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
