AV & General Support Technician 

The AV & General Support Technician will provide onsite AV tech support as a primary focus. They will support our staff and the events team to accommodate on-site/hybrid events and meetings to ensure operational excellence. In addition to the support of AV this person will also support the information security team. This team member must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work with our team to meet our objectives of exemplary customer support.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform daily tech checks to ensure that all meeting rooms are fully functional and ready for use.
  • Keep up to date on the latest technologies and product releases to continue to grow and influence our AV space and capabilities.
  • Support on-site/hybrid meetings as requested by customers 
  • Support on site events
  • Continuously educate and train end users on room technologies and troubleshooting
  • Stay updated on the latest AV products and product releases to provide recommendations on automation and improved functionality.
  • Work with members of the security team to perform audits and assessments against the Information Security Policy. Document compliance and maintain reports.
  • Document all technical risks that are discovered through 3rd party testing, vulnerability tools, and project discovery. Update as needed. Perform quarterly audit with the information security team.
  • Learn and navigate new security products and review output as needed.
  • Document all security breaches from initiation to resolution.
  • Stay updated on the latest information security threats, trends, technologies and provide recommendations for improving information security posture.

  • Need to be proactive and have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
  • Ability to quickly learn new business domains, processes and terminology.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years AV hardware support
  • Experience with NIST security framework a plus.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in Windows and MAC
  • Knowledge of network and server technologies.

 

Ability to be on-site 5 days a week is a must. The need for extended hours may be required to support meetings/events.
