The Children’s School seeks an experienced full-time Facilities Manager to start May 1, 2026.
The Facilities Manager at The Children’s School (TCS) is responsible for maintaining School facilities and maintenance requests. Typical responsibilities of the job include facilities operations & building systems oversight, contractor and vendor management, project and capital repair management, as well as transportation and security oversight.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Minimum Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years experience in facilities management
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with mechanical skills, standard tools, and techniques
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems
- Understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Ability to manage vendors and safety compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen attention to detail and efficiency in problem solving skills
- Knowledge of operating expenses and capital expenditures budgeting and cost-control techniques
- Proven ability to manage repairs, installations, and renovations from inception to completion within a budget
- Experience supervising maintenance technicians and janitorial staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification
- Proficiency with SchoolDude
- Expert knowledge of emergency systems
- Knowledge of Verkada security system
