Taylor Corporation is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to lead, plan, design, test, and launch technology solutions to meet business needs. The position is responsible for all steps in the process and standards for the role. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users (stakeholders) to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Participate in prototyping and designing new systems for the purpose of enhancing Taylor’s business processes, operations, and information process flow.  (Solutions assessment and validation).
  • Review, analyze and document the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. (Enterprise Analysis)
  • Design and outline Transitional Requirements required for implementation of solutions.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, testing and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Work with and act as a liaison between the Business and internal IT resources on evaluating, selecting, and strategically applying technology solutions to current and future business issues.
  • Gain a solid familiarity with the business side of Taylor and the internal workflow(s).
  • Identify, categorize and plan with the team for risks and mitigation or contingencies.
  • Ability to work hands on with specific projects with tasks; including but not limited to requirements gathering, scope definition, process mapping, system configuration, data mapping, data migration design and loading, and system testing.
  • General understanding of the technology tools currently being used within Taylor.
  • Lead other BA’s through collaboration, sharing of experience and presentation through the internal Community of Practice.
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully implement technology on time and within budget.
  • Identify areas of potential to leverage technology solutions as well as coordinate the sharing of technology solutions across the corporation.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT operating applications across the Taylor organization.
  • Lead and/or assist with the creation of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
  • Working with business users and BAs, helps create Business Requirement Documents, Purchasing Request Forms and other standard IT forms to be submitted to the user’s business leaders & IT management
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of Taylor’s ICSMXML protocol
  • Develop understanding in Taylor applications as assigned.
  • Provide detailed and abstracted information and visuals of systems and processes both current and future state.
  • Assist in or hold user training sessions and release communications on technical process changes
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of required technical and user documentation
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user and external accounts test reviews for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Taylor’s manufacturing processes including many different presses, printers and other supporting hardware.
  • Effectively facilitate meetings with project team, users and business leaders
  • Effectively communicate in non-technical terms to users
  • Quality and accurate documentation, recording project requests & revisions 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Proactive, results oriented approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA Certification (CBAP or CCBA)
  • Large systems implementation experience (ERP)
