 Taylor Corporation is undertaking a transformation which will allow us to better align in serving our customers and streamline all functional operations. As such, we are seeking to create its first Chief Growth Officer / Chief Commercial Officer. This individual will be a direct report to the CEO and lead all of Taylor’s customer-facing, commercial functions corporate wide. As such, he/she will be responsible for providing the leadership, strategic transformation, and operational discipline for a wide array of commercial functions. As such, the CGO/CCO will serve as the top commercial leader for all of Taylor Corporation.

 This individual will lead a team spanning sales, marketing, customer service and experience, strategic relationships, middle market customers, and the healthcare sector. This executive will serve as a key advisor to CEO and executive teams as well play a critical role in leading the transformation undertaken by Taylor Corporation.



Specific Responsibilities

 ·        Provides overall commercial leadership and strategic direction to the corporation across all businesses and geographies.

·        Drives the integration of the commercial functions from each of the business units to create a more cohesive, clarified view to the customer as well more effective and efficient commercial operations for the corporation.

·        Aligns and leads the company to higher levels of growth measured in terms of both top-line revenues, increased margins, customer satisfaction, and bottom line results.

·        Serves as the most senior commercial executive; serves as the thought leader and expert to the executive team on all aspects relating to marketing, pricing, sales, customer experience and other commercial and customer facing functions.

·        Works closely with and maintains open communication with the CEO and executive team and interfaces effectively with peer functions and business leadership across the company.

·        Serves as a key member of the executive leadership team; provides insight into customer needs and preferences, competitor movements, and industry trends based on market feedback.

·        Links the value proposition of the business strategy with measurable operating tactics to significantly improve sales, revenue and margin.

·        Rallies employees around new ideas and strategic initiatives that help the customer-facing organization create deeper, more meaningful customer relationships across all regions and all customer segments.

·        Appraises regularly and systematically the performance / effectiveness of available resources, strategies, tactics, policies and procedures to ensure that stated sales and profitability objectives are met.

·        Develops a team that cultivates and fosters an environment of high performance, through the use of performance management methodologies, employee development, career progression, compensation, rewards and recognition.


·        Bachelor’s degree in business or any related area required; an MBA is highly preferred

·        15+ years of progressive leadership experience across strategy, sales, marketing and business leadership

·        Prior successful experience in driving business transformation is highly desirable

·        Strong business and financial acumen required with a strong preference for current or prior P&L experience for a business of substantial size and scale; understands and utilizes metrics / measurement to ensure success

·        Demonstrated expertise in a wide variety of commercial functions including sales and marketing

·        Experience within the industry is not required; experience in other industries especially with analogous solutions-based offerings will be considered

·        Proven high capability in driving profitable growth

·        Demonstrated ability to lead transformation; able to rally an organization around a change agenda creating enthusiasm and buy-in

·        Proven and tested human resource skills and people leadership is a must.

·        Outstanding, demonstrated oral and written communications skills required
