Position at Taylor Communications Inc.

Taylor Communication’s Livermore facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician Specialist. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of machines.  This includes printing, folding, cutting and facility related equipment. The Maintenance Technician Specialist ensures facility remains in good operating condition and address issues as they arise. Coordinate machine and facility maintenance tasks with internal resources and outside contractors as needed. Manages maintenance parts and supplies inventory and oversees department.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventative maintenance as directed or deemed necessary to insure equipment is maintained in a safe and proper manner.
  • Perform repairs as assigned
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and parts necessary for efficient maintenance of equipment.
  • Install new equipment per manufacture’s specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Provide support and other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have understanding and aptitude to work on machines.
  • Possess a working knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written, including keeping maintenance records.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and understand scales and measurements.
  • Must have PLC knowledge.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and program AC and DC motor drives.
  • Must be able to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics.
  • Must have general knowledge of electrical and electronics components.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five years previous maintenance experience with emphasis on electro-mechanical equipment. (Business forms equipment preferred)
  • Knowledge of prevailing codes and regulations relative to equipment repairs and wiring.
