Taylor Corporation, a top 3 US based graphic communications company is seeking a Sourcing Director for our North Mankato location.  The Director manages staff and directly negotiates with vendors for the best possible price and service guarantees regarding all purchased materials, supplies, finished goods, equipment and services. This position reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with company Managers to maximize the organizations supplier and sourcing benefits surrounding cost, quality and delivery, as well as credit and payment terms.
  • Establishes the organization's purchasing and supplier development strategies.
  • Develops sourcing strategies based on contractual cycles, future market forecasts and cases where current vendors are inadequate.
  • Manages the make-buy analysis, bids, RFP process and the awards process for new contracts and contract renewals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. (Preferably in Supply Chain, Business)
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, with at least 3 years of related management experience is required. 
  • The successful candidate will possess strategic leadership abilities and change management skills.
  • Must be proactive and results oriented with a proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels in an integrated supply chain organization.
  • Capable of fostering teamwork while managing complex cross-organization programs.
  • The ability to conceptualize problems and opportunities, and implement innovative solutions using proven business tools like Six Sigma, lean manufacturing techniques is critical.
  • Must possess excellent negotiations, analytics and problem solving skills.
