Travel Tags is seeking a Programmer in our IT department to provide resources in order to develop, modify, test, debug, evaluate, install and document programs, systems and applications to support business functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing, marketing, eCommerce marketing and customer service.  Programming may be for computer software, databases, Internet/intranet-related tools and websites.

 

Shift Available

  • Monday through Friday with flexible office hours, occasionally requiring weekend and/or evening work.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct programming and support activities including: program coding, debugging, documentation with diagrams and logic flowcharts, creating new and revised programs with more effective language codes, processing routines, report generators, hardware use and use of database management techniques
  • Provides periodic reports of status and detailed information as necessary to satisfy project management queries
  • Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure the desired results are produced
  • Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and instructions are correct
  • Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment
  • Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
  • Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs
  • Train subordinates in programming and program coding

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • 5 years of programming experience including .NET development
  • 5 of Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS – Reporting Services and SSIS –   Integration Services experience
  • Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 experience
  • XML/XSLT translations experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of programming experience including .NET development
  • 5 of Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS – Reporting Services and SSIS –   Integration Services experience
  • Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 experience
  • XML/XSLT translations experience
  • Understanding of .NET 2.0/3.0/4.0 frameworks, XML, ADO/ADO.NET, ASP/ASP.NET,  Object Oriented Development, and Web Services
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and Release Management
  • Experience conducting detailed system analysis, design, and development of current applications and for new development
  • Ability to quickly debug applications and identify the root cause of problems
  • Experience in providing estimates and written requirements for projects
  • Experience integrating manufacturing equipment with  data processing system
  • Knowledge of using printing machine and printer machine programming experience is preferred
  • Possess high level of integrity and objectivity by using data in making decisions.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills who has proven to handle multiple activities.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders through personal leadership and clear project goals
