Quality Assurance Technician

 

Taylor Communications (SPS, Standard Register) is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support and execute Quality, Process improvement initiatives such as: ISO:9001,Food Safety ISO 22000, Lean, Six Sigma(min. Green Belt Level).  This position is responsible for providing assistance to production and supporting departments by assisting with documenting and evaluating existing processes, as well as performing audits, inspections, sampling and testing of materials, products, processes and quality control programs. 

 

 Shift Available

  • Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company quality and/or food safety standards.
  • May apply approval or rejection labels once evaluation is complete.
  • Assist in minimizing down time by reducing production rework and recalls.
  • Monitor, audit and provide guidance to operators.
  • Process test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation Management and Production Teams to identify problems, inefficiencies or test (qualify) new products.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support related to documentation requirements.
  • Manage audit schedule that will include ISO: 9001 and ISO 22000 standards.
  • Tracks and reports the CAR/PAR effectiveness program
  • Maintain documentation manuals to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date and available to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain filing of all master documents.
  • Resolves routine questions and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years years of related / relevant experience to position or specialization.
  • Prior experience: ISO:9000,Food Safety, Lean and printing process
  • Ability to apply skills and possesses the ability to develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform standardized duties and tasks.
  • Perform tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Follow all processes, regulations, safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Comply with Company Policies.
  • Computer experience: Micro Soft office, excel
