Taylor Communications is seeking an Senior .Net Web Developer to design and build key web applications and web services for Taylor Communications, Inc.   The position requires extensive experience in web application development using .Net technologies and  in all phases of  the web application development life cycle, as well as an excellent understanding of customer needs and business strategy.

 

Shift Available

  • The hours and days for this position varies.  It is typically Monday through Friday from 40 to 50 hours per week.  The days and hours will flux depending on troubleshooting, maintenance, and production implementation requirements.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop secure, compliant, innovative web applications, web services, and web-based solutions on time with little to no downtime.
  • Provide creative vision and managing the planning and implementation of web-based applications.
  • Translate business requirements into systems design.
  • Participate and manage multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Coordinating and communicating cross-functional activities between product development, marketing, product management and other teams in bringing new applications online.
  • Partner with internal business associates to understand their objectives.  Work to drive the business through compelling and unique development solutions.
  • Establish and sustain a high level of partnership with the Business. Instill a level of confidence in technical knowledge in order to suggest and deliver solutions to business opportunities.
  • Gathering business requirements and developing specifications for web-based applications.
  • Understand and help execute the technical roadmap developed for key applications and initiatives including adjustments as needed based on business environment and priorities.
  • Participate in projects as a member of an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Assistance in writing test plans.
  • Diagnosing and fixing bugs found by quality assurance tester.
  • Use strong problem-solving skills to address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate and to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
  • Overseeing application coding and providing technical expertise and mentoring to other developers.
  • Providing technical assistance to web administrators.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of .Net development experience with at least 2 years of front end development experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
  • Minimum of 3 years working with C# and the .NET platform
  • Minimum of 3 years of ASP.NET MVC & WebAPI experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of JavaScript design patterns experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of HTML and CSS experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of jQuery experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Transact-SQL and SQL Server 2008 experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of strong SDLC experience
  • Bachelor's Degree

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enterprise development experience
  • Familiar with RESTful service implementation
  • Familiar with Test-Driven Development and User Acceptance Testing
  • Prior experience working in an E-Commerce company
