Taylor Corporation is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to work in North Mankato, MN to help develop, drive and implement compensation programs, practices and systems.  This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate who has excellent analytical skills, a comprehensive knowledge of compensation practices and can consult effectively with their business partners.



  • Lead and administer compensation activities such as base salary planning, annual and long-term incentive variable pay programs, sales compensation analysis and other specialized compensation arrangements
  • Provide consultation to HR business partners and leaders regarding compensation best practices and pay recommendations
  • Evaluate jobs to determine appropriate compensation levels within salary structures and FLSA status
  • Develop, communicate and participate in rollout of compensation program updates, education, training, and plan document distribution across all Taylor companies
  • Partner with other HR centers of excellence to develop project plans and create effective implementation plans which are integrated with other total rewards programs or talent management strategies
  • Leverage Excel and HR technology systems to analyze the effectiveness of compensation programs and create meaningful metrics through standard or ad hoc reports
  • Identify, lead and implement continuous improvement activities and process documentation on department services and resources; maintain accurate records on plan documentation
  • Stay up to date on compensation trends by participating in select surveys, studying labor market stats, and reviewing HR best practices; consult with external vendors as necessary
  • Remain current on compliance-related issues, especially those generated by regulatory authorities
  • Participates in special projects or analysis, as needed, which may include research, data gathering, modeling, forecasting, accrual preparation, systems integrations and testing


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation practice or relevant and transferable compensation skills obtained with other HR experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compensation practices and administration procedures
  • High level of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills to measure the effectiveness of compensation and other HR programs and practices
  • Ability to successfully lead and drive multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven relationship management skills and the ability to partner effectively and influence business leaders, partners in other centers of excellence departments and to engage HR business partners


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional compensation certification from a recognized professional or educational organization is preferred, such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Knowledge of sales and executive compensation programs is a plus
  • Familiarity of Workday is a plus


Work Location:

  • This position will be primarily located in North Mankato, MN; however, it also has the opportunity to perform the role periodically from the company’s Eden Prairie, MN location
