Taylor Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer II in North Mankato, MN to provide a senior level of support coding software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Interact with other software engineers and technical leaders to understand subsystem and component specifications and recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development
  • Facilitate the flow of order information from a variety of sources into a structured format and process.
  • Implement features according to specifications and adherence to coding standards
  • Support management of the team’s technical infrastructure (e.g. repository, build system, testing system) under guidance from the engineers and team lead
  • Analysis and implementation of web service and windows applications
  • Quality assurance including unit testing, bug reports and automated notifications
  • Following new technology and best practices, enhancing technical policies and standards
  • User training and documentation


 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two to four (2-4) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial .NET application development
  • Two to four (2-4) years of experience developing software using C# ASP.NET (4.5+ framework), SQL Server (2008+), XML
  • Strong understanding of Web Service architecture
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation to support applications
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment
  • Ability to work closely with users throughout the lifecycle of an application
  • Ability to analyze user cases, stories, requirements and or technical specifications into test cases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with distributed team members.
  • Excellent personal communications skills & customer service mentality
  • Solid relational database and SQL capability
  • Very capable with OOAD and Software Architecture


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or a foreign equivalent degree
  • Printing industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience with the following technologies is beneficial but not required of the position.
    • PHP – API Development
    • BizTalk
    • RPG
    • EDI
    • Adobe Creative Cloud/AEM
    • PitStop Pro
