Position at Navitor Midwest

Navitor Midwest has an opening for Technical Maintenance. The position is responsible for ensuring production equipment is maintained and in top operating condition.

 

Shift Available

  • Core schedule will be Monday - Friday 3:30 pm – 12:00 am, some overtime and weekends may be required

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintains all equipment in plant for efficient operations.  Prevent downtime and prevent reoccurring problems. 
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment; be familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets regarding chemicals used.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Wear appropriate safety protection.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Maintenance Technology degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of machine maintenance experience.
  • Printing Industry background preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform more advanced tasks such as electrical and troubleshooting on equipment
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good working attitude
  • Willingness to learn

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

 

  • Requires good mathematical skills and be attentive to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of problem solving on machines.

 

Additional Levels of Expertise:

 

  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
