Taylor Corporation is seeking a Manager of Project Management to lead and manage the day to day activities in the PMO. Implements and provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies, oversees the work of project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.

The Project Management Office is responsible for both Client facing/Service Delivery projects for Taylor customers, as well as production systems and infrastructure related projects in support of company growth. The Manager – PMO will provide metrics on team performance, to ensure the growth and development of the team as well as providing a foundation for making data-driven decisions.  Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a 3-5 team of local and remote Project Managers, while personally managing projects. 
  • Responsible for project initiation, planning, risk and issue management, stakeholder relationships, and project metrics.
  • Develops agendas and presentations, conducts status and planning meetings and provide meeting minutes so that all parties are kept up-to-date regarding project status and issues
  • Process improvement and new process creation
  • Manage Sponsor and Stakeholder expectations and communicates with internal groups at all levels as needed to ensure successful completion of project
  • Meet with decision makers, executive and project sponsors, systems owners, and end users to define and understand project goals and priorities as they relate to business, financial, and operations requirements
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, testing and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Work with and act as a liaison between the PMO and Business resources on evaluating, selecting, and strategically applying technology solutions to current and future business issues.
  • Gain a solid familiarity with the business side of Taylor and the internal workflow(s).
  • Identify, categorize and plan with the team for risks and mitigation or contingencies.
  • Ability to work hands on with specific projects with tasks; including but not limited to requirements gathering, scope definition, process mapping, system configuration, data mapping, data migration design and loading, and system testing.
  • General understanding of the technology tools currently being used within Taylor.
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully implement technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify areas of potential to leverage technology solutions as well as coordinate the sharing of technology solutions across the corporation.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT operating applications across the Taylor organization.
  • Develop understanding in Taylor applications as assigned.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Taylor’s manufacturing processes including many different presses, printers and other supporting hardware.
  • Effectively facilitate meetings with project team, users and business leaders
  • Effectively communicate in non-technical terms to users
  • Quality and accurate documentation, recording project requests & revisions 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Travel up to 30%
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent
  • 5+ Years’ experience in managing teams of Project Managers
  • 5+ Years of dedicated Project Management experience in information system, network or infrastructure projects
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio
  • Competency in Development methodologies like Waterfall, Agile/Scrum
  • Understanding of core networking information technology
