Want to work with some of the most recognizable brands in the world?  Our DevOps Engineers are responsible for the building, automating and supporting the servers and services that deliver our eCommerce experiences to our customers and their representatives.  As a DevOps engineer at Taylor Digital, you’ll be supporting multiple teams helping them implement CI/CD practices in their software build process. You’ll use many tools, many open-sourced, to help teams build automated pipelines to deliver higher quality code faster.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain production environment including:
    • Build and Deployment of new code
    • Ensure web and application servers are up and running
    • Ensure application is up and running
    • Ensure Biztalk is up and running
  • Support Development and Administrative Tool Environments including:
    • TFVC, Subversion, Git
    • VersionOne, TFS
    • Jenkins, TeamCity, OctopusDeploy
  • Assist Development Teams
  • Assist Infrastructure Teams
  • Assist DBA Teams
  • Support and Maintain Development and Test Environments
  • Implement and Update DevOps Pipeline
  • Implement Containers and Configuration Management Tools

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Four year degree or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to write/modify scripts and programs within deadlines and in conformance to standards.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, interfacing with internal peers and first level management group.

Technical

  • Strong hands-on experience with deployment, scripting and automation
  • Strong understanding of web-hosting technologies such as IIS, TCP/IP and networking, along with other web administration tools.
  • Strong scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Ruby)
  • Experience with source control management practices and tools (Preferably Git)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Experience with developing and deploying Microsoft C# and the ASP.NET Apps
  • Database development and administration (Preferably SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with "infrastructure as code" best practices.
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker.
  • Skills/knowledge in three or more of these subject areas, no flinching at learning others as needed:
    • Configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
    • Continuous integration (Jenkins,Maven, Grunt, etc.)
    • Continuous Delivery / Deployment
    • Blue Green Deployments
    • Experience with Linux and Windows servers and their administration
    • Nginx
    • Network engineering concepts (e.g. - Firewalls, Load Balancers, CDNs)
    • Agile, Scrum, DevOps
